Roberta Ruel Antoniuk
Hi, my name is Roberta Ruel Antoniuk. I am so thrilled to be running on behalf of this great community. My husband, Peter and I have been residents since 1998 and feel lucky to be raising our kids, Ethan (11) and Cameron (9) here. This is my first marathon and I wouldn't have taken on the challenge if it weren't for the encouragement and nudging of several of my friends in the Ashland community.
I started running 3 years ago and my first official race was the Ashland Half in 2012, didn’t realize there would be so many hills. As I was looking at fundraising opportunities, I was impressed by Ashland’s dedication to a variety of community priorities including education, sports, safety and fostering a healthy environment. I am running in honor of my friends and family, especially those that have had some challenges over the past few years. I appreciate any contribution and look forward to the journey.

Hana Berstein
Since moving to the region six years ago from Vermont, my husband and I have come to love and appreciate Boston and the surrounding communities. It is here where we finished graduate school and settled into our careers; I am a Boston College graduate and a 6th grade special education teacher in Needham. And it is here where I became a runner.
Through running I am constantly learning lessons in perseverance, dedication and reward. I have enjoyed running many Boston-area races ranging from Somerville's Jingle Bell 5k and West Roxbury's Corrib Classic to the inspirational Tufts Women's 10k. Venturing outside of the region I more recently completed marathons in Philadelphia; Chicago; Burlington, VT; and Washington, D.C. But it was while training for these races, here in Boston, that I discovered many of the communities along the Marathon route. So it seemed fitting that when my husband and I decided to leave Boston in search of our first home this past summer, we began to explore many of the towns that follow the famed 26.2 miles.

Settling into our home along the Holliston/Ashland line has been wonderful. Our favorite spots to frequent include Ashland State Park and Warren Woods for walks with our dog Charlie. It is an honor to support the Town of Ashland by running the 2015 Boston Marathon. Thank you for supporting me as I train for this iconic race as well as your donation to make a difference in our local community.
John Brinegar
Hi my name is John Brinegar and I have been resident of Ashland since 2007 with my wife Stacy and our two boys Kyle and Wesley. I have been a competitive runner for over 20 years. Marathon Monday and the Marathon were new to when I first moved to Boston in 1998. That year, a friend took me to the finish line so that I could experience what the marathon and the day are really about.
Seventeen years later, Marathon Monday has become my favorite day. From cheering on the runners from Commonwealth Avenue to my own experience running the race back in 2006, the day and race are unlike anything else. I am honored to be running for the Town of Ashland and welcome your support.

Please come out and cheer me on - I will be wearing bib No. 28449!

Fred Lowney
Hi my name is Fred Lowney, and have lived in Ashland all of my life. In 2012 I ran my first Half running the Ashland Half, with enjoying the challenge and learning experience, I moved on to run my first Marathon in 2013 in Hyannis. Finding this more challenging more enjoyable than a half. Since then I have had the opportunity to run in several other Marathons and other races including a relay.
Watching the Boston Marathon as a kid dreaming of running in it, I decided that this was the year. Finding a great opportunity to combine my passion for the Marathon and support the town I grew up in and live in today. I chose to run on behalf of the town of Ashland, it is honor to be able to support some great programs in the Town of Ashland. Thank you for supporting me as I run for the town of Ashland.

Stephen Medeiros
Hi my name is Stephen Medeiros and it is an honor and a privilege to be running this most prestigious race. I have lived in Massachusetts all of my life; specifically in the City of Fall River. I currently reside there with my wife Liz, our two kids Chace and Vivian and our dog Jovy.
For years I’ve participated in many different areas of sports and fitness but it wasn’t until a year and a half ago that I caught the “running bug”. I was sitting in my office in May of 2013 when my longtime friend and co-worker told me he was training for a marathon. Through our discussions I became interested in the idea of running a marathon myself one day.
Turns out, “one day” became 6 months later. In June 2013 I started my training. To my surprise I had a propensity for long distance running and in October 2013 I ran my first marathon in Newport Rhode Island and did pretty well. I enjoyed the experience and the challenge so much that I ran the Newport Marathon for a second time in October 2014.

The life lessons I have taken away in the short amount of time I have
been running have been invaluable. I don’t think most people know what
they are really capable of; I certainly did not. Aside from this being a
great opportunity for myself I am also excited to run for the town of
Ashland who have so graciously allowed me to represent them in this
event.
The funds raised in my name will go to some very important programs for the town. Those programs can be viewed under the “BAA Grant Program File Downloads” link at the top of this website. Finally, I’m dedicating this race to my friends and family but more specifically my wife and kids who have to adjust their day to day lives to help me achieve this amazing goal. Much thanks in advance to any contribution made in my name.

Christopher 'Toby' Snedecor
Hi, my name is Christopher 'Toby' Snedecor, and I am in my second year of teaching French at Ashland High School. I have been living in the Boston area since 2008, and I love the energy and community spirit of Marathon Monday. For most of my life, I have wondered if I could run a marathon, and ever since moving here I have daydreamed about someday running Boston.
In February 2013, I joined a Boston-based fitness community called the November Project and started on my way to becoming a runner. I have finished more than a dozen 5Ks, the Cambridge Super Sunday 5-Mile, and the Boston Half Marathon since then, and I logged hundreds of training miles in preparation for running the Philadelphia Marathon this past November. I have lost thirty pounds, gained dozens of new friends, and discovered the hidden sides of the city of Boston through my running. To be have the opportunity to run for the town of Ashland in a way that will support my students and the town community is both an honor and a privilege.

Running Boston is a dream come true, but I am well aware of the realities of running 26.2 miles on one of the world's most demanding courses. I will prepare for this marathon with the same dedication that I bring to my duties as an educator, and I will take the task of running it seriously. With that said, my students can tell you that I do not take myself too seriously, and so if I manage to raise $500 more than the target, I will run the marathon in a costume chosen by their vote.
Jonathan Tessier
Hello, my name is Jonathan Tessier and I have lived in Ashland for my whole life. I have also had the privilege of working for the town as an Ashland Police Officer for the past 9 years. I have recently been promoted to the rank of Sergeant. I have a beautiful wife, Tiffany, and an amazing little newborn boy, Landon.

I have always loved watching the Boston Marathon as a kid, and more recently, working the Marathon as a police officer. I am honored to finally be running the Marathon representing the great town of Ashland. I appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you along the route!
