Virtual - Romance Author Julia Kent in Conversation with Audiobook Narrator Andi Arndt *For Adults
Wednesday, February 1, 2023
Join us for a discussion of the process of writing and narrating a book, how it feels to hear your words read aloud and the power of engaging with a story using both your eyes and ears. Romance author Julia Kent will be in conversation with Andi Arndt, celebrated audiobook narrator!
About Julia:
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Julia Kent writes romantic comedy with an edge. Since 2013, she has sold more than 2 million books, with 4 New York Times bestsellers and more than 21 appearances on the USA Today bestseller list. Her books have been translated into French, German, and Italian, with more titles releasing in the future.
From billionaires to BBWs to new adult rock stars, Julia finds a sensual, goofy joy in every contemporary romance she writes. Unlike Shannon from Shopping for a Billionaire, she did not meet her husband after dropping her phone in a men’s room toilet (and he isn’t a billionaire she met in a romantic comedy).
She lives in New England with her husband and three children where she is the only person in the household with the gene required to change empty toilet paper rolls.
About Andi:
Multiple Audie Award winner Andi Arndt has narrated hundreds of titles for all major publishers across many genres, and she also works with many of today's best selling indie romance authors (e.g. Julia Kent!) as a narrator and as founder of Lyric Audiobooks. The recipient of multiple Audie, Earphones and Voice Arts Awards, twice named to AudioFile Magazine's Best Voices of the Year, Andi was inducted into the Audible Narrator Hall of Fame in 2018. In 2021 she founded narrator.life, an online hub for courses, coaching and community for audiobook narrators at all levels of their careers.
