Essential Oils with Hannah Stein: Peppermint *For Adults
Tuesday, February 7, 2023
Join fellow Ashlander and Hannah Stein, Owner of Ashland REIKI & Wellness Center, in this new series as we explore the benefits of using essential oils in your daily life. In our first session, we discuss peppermint oil - it's not just for cooking!
Peppermint oil is extracted from peppermint leaves, which are found on the peppermint plant – a hybrid cross between spearmint and water mint. It is a hardy plant that grows naturally in Europe and North America.
Peppermint oil can be used topically (applied to the skin) for problems like headache, muscle aches, joint pain, and itching, among others. In aromatherapy, peppermint oil is effective for treating coughs and colds, reducing pain, improving mental function, and reducing stress.
This versatile oil can also be used around the house for warding off pests and improving the air quality in your home.
All participants will leave with cotton balls with Peppermint Oil to ward off pests. As well, we can experiment in the program with topical use.
Join us as we explore this natural and inexpensive oil and how it can improve your life.
*Disclaimer: We will be talking about safety around essential oils and, although Hannah is conversant with the oils, she is not a medical expert and our discussion should not be taken as medically approved. Always check with your medical provider before using any new treatment, even if it is natural.
Please register for this event so we can have enough supplies on hand.
