Writing a Novel in a Month: How to Prepare Yourself for NaNoWriMo *For Adults and Older Teens
Saturday, October 30, 2021
Have you been wanting to write a book but just can't find the time? You're not alone. For many, it's common for our creative life to be put on the back burner as we juggle day jobs, family, and life commitments. In this program, author Alicia Gregoire will show how it's possible to carve out time for your writing life and how to find a story worth telling.
Alicia Gregoire is a QA specialist by day and everything else by night. When she’s not playing with her daughter, snuggling her cats, or cracking jokes with her husband, she can be found with a coffee in one hand and a pen in the other.
In her books, Alicia champions anyone who feels like an outsider by exploring the world with a subversive, edgy lens. She writes contemporary fiction, fantasy, and humorist self-help for anyone who loves off-beat humor, drama, and a small helping of teen (and post-teen) angst. Her titles can be found wherever books are sold.
After this session, please feel free to stay for a couple of hours to get an early start on your 50,000 words! The meeting room will be open for writing and collaboration until 2pm. Then, look for open times during the month of November! And, of course, you are welcome to use any of the open spaces of the library to write anytime.
This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Ashland Public Library.
