Ashland Town Forest- Invasive Plant Walk

We're thrilled to be partnering with the Town Forest Committee to bring you this program! Join us for a short walk in the woods to identify invasive plants that have crept into our yards and the Town Forest. Information on why and when we should put time and effort into controlling them, techniques to remove the plants, and strategies for reducing their return will be discussed. We will talk about buckthorn, barberry, knotweed, bittersweet, garlic mustard, swallow-wort, Norway maple, and burning bush.
Join Mike Jones, Vice Chair of the Town Forest Committee (and huge Friends of the Ashland Library supporter!), for this special event. It is rain or shine, so have your rain boots, sunscreen, and bug spray handy!
