[ARCHIVED] West Union Transmission Sewer Replacement - Project Status

UPDATE AS OF DEC 21st, 2016

The Contractor is shutting down for the holidays and will return during the week of January 2

Happy Holidays to all!

 

Week of 12th December and 19th December the contractor completed the following.

Water services Christy  Lane : Contractor completed the water service replacement from the new water main to the property line. All water services replacements are complete on Christy Lane.

Sewer Services Christy Lane: Contractor completed the sewer service replacement to the property lines. All sewer services are now complete on Christy Lane.

Ashland Commons Sewer Replacement: Contractor could not continue sewer replacement in Ashland Commons this week due to by-pass pumping equipment issues. They plan on continuing replacement during the week of January 2nd.

Pavement Patches: Contractor installed temporary pavement in Christy Lane to close all trenches up for the winter.

REMAINING WORK

Metropolitan Water Main Shut Down: Contractor has delayed this work until after the new year. They will reschedule the water main shut down and replacement in Metropolitan. Notices will be handed out to the residents on Metropolitan that will be impacted during the shutdown.

Leland Avenue Sewer & Water: Contractor will complete the work in  Ashland Commons during the week of January 2 and then mobilize to Leland Avenue to work on the sewer and water replacement. Contractor is reviewing his labor force in an effort to place a second crew in Leland to start the water replacement in Leland Avenue during the week of January 2nd.

Finish Road Restoration: Permanent paving work will be completed during the spring/summer season. This will allow settlement in the trenches, if any, to occur before finish paving.

As the winter season is here, the Contractor will avoid working when it snows and will make every effort to patch the trenches before a snow storm.
