Virtual -Romance Panel: The Rise of Monsters (Take Two) *For Adults

Wednesday, May 31, 2023

We did not get nearly enough time to talk about Monster Romance at our last panel so we're doing it again! This time, we welcome authors Ann Aguirre, Lillian Lark, Kathryn Moon, and CM Nascosta as they talk about the rising appeals of "monsters" in romance. How did "Mon-Rom" become a thing and how does it keep capturing our imaginations? This is sure to be an amazing conversation!

Ann Aguirre

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Ann Aguirre has been a clown, a clerk, a savior of stray kittens, and a voice actress, not necessarily in that order. She grew up in a yellow house across from a cornfield, but now she lives in Mexico with her family. She writes all kinds of genre fiction, but she has an eternal soft spot for a happily ever after.

Lillian Lark

Born and raised in the saltiest of cities in Utah. Lillian is an avid reader, cat mom to three demons, and loves writing sexy stories that twist you up inside.

Kathryn Moon

Kathryn Moon is a country mouse who started dictating stories to her mother at an early age.

The fascination with building new worlds and discovering the lives of the characters who grew in her head never faltered, and she graduated college with a fiction writing degree. She loves writing women who are strong in their vulnerability, romances that are as affectionate as they are challenging, and worlds that a reader sinks into and never wants to leave. When her hands aren't busy typing they're probably knitting sweaters or crimping pie crust in Ohio. She definitely believes in magic.

CM Nascosta

is a USA Today bestselling author and professional procrastinator from Cleveland, Ohio. She’s always preferred beasts to boys, the macabre to the milquetoast, the unknown darkness in the shadows to the Chad next door. She lives in a crumbling old Victorian with a scaredy-cat dachshund, where she writes nontraditional romances featuring beastly boys with equal parts heart and heat, and is waiting for the Hallmark Channel to get with the program and start a paranormal lovers series.
