Virtual: The Adventures of Two Grannies on the Road

They're not ready for the rocking chair yet! Two young-at-heart grandmothers will share their love of exploration and adventure, showing that they can be business owners, wives, grandmothers, and still have fun! Join "Grannies" Beth Sobiloff and Marcia Rothwell as they share stories and reflect on their adventures touring all over the Commonwealth. Whether it is a restaurant, a statue, a historic building, library, museum, art, llamas, farms, mountains or the sea, they have visited it all and have gotten to know the people who live there. Come hear their story about how they've reinvented themselves later in life, and are living their retirement years to the fullest!

For ages 5 and under. A parent and child group offered by the Metrowest YMCA and the Early Childhood Alliance of Ashland & Framingham. A structured program to help prepare children for socialization and a school experience.

Virtual: Bert & Lou -- The Story of the Herbert Hoover Family with the Hoover Presidential Library

Learn about the life of the 31st President of the United States, Herbert Hoover, and his wife Lou Henry Hoover. Born in Iowa, the Hoovers would become world travelers and spend much of their lives in public service, helping provide food relief to millions of people around the world. The presentation will include film clips of home movies created by Lou and the first known color moving images of the White House. Led by Craig G. Wright, Supervisory Archivist at the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library.

We keep having so much fun with Loretta and Susan that we had to keep bringing them back for encore performances! You know them as the Two Nerdy History Girls - authors Loretta Chase and Susan Holloway Scott were the originators of the infamous blog. We, once again, have Loretta and Susan here to answer all of our burning questions. How do they find interesting tidbits of historical lore, which libraries of the world have they visited, and how do they avoid the inescapable "rabbit hole"? We can't wait for what we know is going to be a fascinating conversation between these two friends and researchers.
