Tom Goss

2025 Marathon
Goss_Thomas

My name is Tom Goss. Yes. THAT Tom Goss!

I have been an enthusiastic spectator at the Boston Marathon for many years. Some have called me a “marathon superfan”. I love everything about the marathon. But what I love most is the overwhelming feeling of excitement, hope, and positivity that floats over the entire event. The marathon gives me a sense of warmth and optimism even when it’s cold and rainy. What a gift it is to live in a town on the world famous Boston Marathon route!

In the past, I’ve said that I would never run the marathon. There just seemed to be too many obstacles. Too much planning was required. The training was too time-consuming. But I have since realized that life is short and my excuses were lousy.

I predict I’ll only run in this amazing race once, so I’m going to make it count. I’m gunna give it MAXIMUM EFFORT in 2025 and leave a spot open for someone else next year. Everyone who wants to do this should get a shot. And in 2026, I’ll be back where I belong on the sidewalk along route 135 hollering at the runners and giving out high-fives.

I’m grateful for this opportunity. I’m grateful for my health. And so grateful for the love and support from my friends and family.

Please help me reach my fundraising goal of $3,000. Your financial gift goes to the Ashland BAA Grant and provides all kinds of help and benefits to people and organizations in the town of Ashland (payment options below).
