Council on Aging (COA)
The seven-member COA is appointed by the Select Board for a three-year term. Each member can serve multiple consecutive terms.
Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Ashland Council on Aging to advocate for a variety of services and activities that support the independent well-being of all seniors while enhancing their dignity and self-respect.
Regular Meetings
The COA meets on the first Thursday of each month at the Ashland Community Center at 10:30 AM. Meetings are open to the public and observers are welcome.

2026 Hero Award
The Council on Aging is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Community Hero award. Submissions can be emailed to the Council on Aging at councilonaging@ashlandmass.com dropped off at the Senior Center or electronically by using this link Hero Nomination Link
Eligible person enhance the lives of Ashland seniors and go above and beyond to make a positive impact. These actions may include programs, activities or promoting positivity.
Submissions are due by June 1, 2026.
