My name is Rebecca Navarro and I am honored to run the 2024 Boston Marathon for the Town of Ashland to raise funds for Ashland’s Boston Athletic Association Grant. This grant provides funds to nonprofits in Ashland, including Ashland Youth and Family Services, the Ashland Emergency Fund, the Community Enrichment Library Programs, among others.
Running has always been a big part of my life. I was a hurdler for the UMass Lowell track team and then spent some time running for the Greater Boston Track Club after college. I don’t consider myself much of a long-distance runner, but running the Boston Marathon has always been on my racing bucket list. In 2020 we moved our family to Ashland, my husband’s hometown, where I now work for the Town’s Department of Public works as a Civil Engineer. I’m excited for this incredible opportunity to give back to my community and to run the Boston Marathon.
I kindly ask you consider supporting me and Ashland. Thank you and see you Marathon Monday!
