This year, I’ll be running the 128th Boston Marathon for the first time and I am asking for your support to help me reach my $3,000 fundraising goal. Your donations will go directly to our Ashland community services that need it most; the Emergency Fund, Community Outreach, Library Programs, Police & Fire and the Food Pantry.
The Boston Marathon has always been a bucket list item for me 2024 is the year! My family and I have cheered for the runners since we moved to Ashland in 2004. My wife Leigh is a teacher at Warren School and we have three amazing children, Paige in 11th grade, Payten in 9th grade and Parker in 8th grade.
Every year during the marathon, cheering on the thousands of runners, I always say..."Next year I'm running it." Then my close friends and family look at me, laugh and say... I'm crazy. Well, after last year's marathon, I ignored the haters and entered my name for an Ashland runners bib. To my surprise, I received the email a few weeks ago and have started training right away.
I look forward to the time consuming challenge of training and running the marathon. And I look forward to showing all my friends and family that you can accomplish anything you put your mind, heart and soul into. If you see me running around town please give me a honk or a shout out as it will help to keep me motivated.
If you can, I ask that you help me reach my fundraising goal by donating today.
